Our Secret Small Restaurant

Since her youth, Theresa has dreamed of a long table at which the family and guests from all over the world gather to eat together. The most beautiful conversations happen at the big table. We feel like collectors of treasures, because each guest brings his or her own story into the house.

For the aperitif, we start with a small round of introductions. The ice is quickly broken. "There is a very special wind blowing at the little hotel on the mountain," said a guest a few weeks ago, "a wind that connects us as strangers with the same interests and lets us leave as friends." And so children, families, couples, single travellers and grandparents join us at the long table. Everyone is welcome! Eating together for breakfast and dinner is a very special goosebump moment every time. Especially in this day and age, the tangible bond, loyalty and community is such a special gift. Most of us are united by a connection to nature and the seasons, an appreciation of good ingredients and a sense of beautiful materials and the little things in life. And so the small hotel on the mountain bubbles with joie de vivre. Together we create memories that warm our hearts and that we carry with us for a long time to come.

For those who prefer a romantic couple's evening tête à tête, we have wonderful restaurant recommendations in Mullerthal.

Every Saturday evening, Hazelnut House hosts a small kitchen party. After the starter, we put on our aprons and we all bake tarte flambée together in the kitchen. In the kitchen garden, the fire burns in the fire basket and in the evening we sit together under the stars and enjoy dessert on the dry stone wall.

The evening menu and tarte flambée cost €59 per person and €29 for children. They are exclusive to hotel guests.

Our dry stone wall is the ideal location for Mediterranean herbs like thyme, rosemary and sage. In summer, our berry garden provides us with currants, gooseberries, strawberries and raspberries, and in autumn we harvest old Luxembourg apple and pear varieties from our large orchard. Directly next to the small hotel are two magnificent old walnut trees. Our chickens also live under their canopy. They lay eggs in the most beautiful shades of mint.

In our kitchen we bake with organic eggs and spelt flour. Good aromatic ingredients are the secret of our simple, loving, natural cuisine.

The long table in the small hotel on the mountain already tells the most beautiful stories...
